4 Wheel to Heal headed to the Ventura County Offroad Show April 20-21 to raise a little money and expose the great folks of Ventura, California, to what 4 Wheel to Heal is all about! We decided that while this is an offroad show, and not really a 4 wheeling event, we would still bring some warriors if they were interested. We worked with the Cal-Diego chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America to get two Vietnam era wheelchair bound veterans and brought a Facebook Fan (and wounded veteran himself) and his wife out to the show!

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, even for California. While our wounded veterans walked or wheeled around the venue checking out all the different vendors and watching the RC races, we were able to sell a few shirts, stickers and Surprise Strap bracelets, as well as talk to a lot of folks about our organization (Channel Island 4×4, OMC Offroad and California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs just to name a few). 4W2H also raised more than $100 in donations!

4 Wheel to Heal would like to thank Courtney Holland and the Ventura County Offroad Show for the booth space, Ovation Food Services – Ventura County Fairgrounds for the meal tickets and the Crown Hotel for discounted rooms for our veterans! It’s through the help of other organizations like these that we are able to accomplish our mission, and show these wounded veterans a great time!
